Georgia Tent Camping and RV

Camping is a fun activity for a group of friends or a family vacation.
Note:Some campgrounds allow pets, some do not. Some have full hookups, others do not. Some are privately owned while others are state owned. Each campground is different and therefore offers different amenities. Most are family oriented.

In the Atlanta Metro area, campgrounds are located in Acworth, Austell, Buford, Marietta, McDonough and Stone Mountain.

On the Georgia Coast, campgrounds are located Brunswick, Cumberland Island, Darien, Ellabelle, Fargo, Folkston, Garden City, Guyton, Hoboken, Jekyll Isalnd, Kingsland, Midway, Richmond Hill, Rincon, Sapelo Island, Savannah, St. George, St. Marys, St. Simons Island, Townsend,Tybee Island, Waycross, Waynesville and Woodbine.

Classic South region

In the Classic South region, campgrounds are located in Appling, Augusta, Crawfordville, dearing, Greensboro, Lincolnton, Millen, Mitchell, Thomson, Tignall, Twin City, Union Point, Warrenton and Washington.

Historic Heartland

In the Historic Heartland, campgrounds are located in Bishop, Byron, Eatonton, Flovilla, Forsyth, High Falls, Jackson, Juliette, Macon, Madison, Milledgeville, Perry, Rutledge, and Social Circle.

Magnolia Midlands

In the Magnolia Midlands, campgrounds are located in Baxley, Chauncey, Cochran, Dublin, Glennville, Hawkinsville, Hazlehurst, Jesup, McRae, Metter, Mount Vernon, Nicholls, Odum, PUlaski, Reidsville, Screven and Statesboro, Sylvania.

Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains - NW Historic High Country

In the Historic High Country, campgrounds are located in Adairsville, Big Canoe, Blue Ridge, Buchanan, Calhoun, Carrollton, Cartersville, Cave Spring, Cedartown, Chatsworth, Cherry Log, Chickamauga, Cloudland, Crandall, Eliijay, McCaysville, Mineral bluff, Morganton, Oakman, Ringgold, Rising Fawn, Rockmart, Rome, Rossville, Summerville, Tallapoosa, Talking Rock, Trenton, Whitesburg and Wildwood.

Northeast Mountains

In the Northeast mountains, campgrounds are located in Blairsville, Bowman, Clarkesville, Clayton, Cleveland, Commerce, Cumming, Dahlonega, Dawsonville, Dillard, Elberton, Hartwell, Helen, Hiawassee, Lake Lanier Island, Lakemont, Marble Hill, Mountain City, Rabun Gap, Sautee, Suches, Tiger, Toccoa, Wiley, Winder and Young Harris.

Plantation Trace

In the Plantation Trace region, campgrounds are located in Adel, Albany, Bainbridge, Blakely, Donalsonville, Fitzgerald, Fort Gaines, Lake Park, Morris, MOultie, Norman Park, Sasser, Thomasville, Tifton and Valdosta.

Presidential Pathways

In the Presidential Pathways region, campgrounds are located in Americus, Andersonville, Arabi, Buena vista, Cordele, Cusseta, Franklin, Hamilton, Hogansville, La Grange, Lumpkin, Midland, Oglethorpe, OMaha, Pine Mountain, Plains, the Rocck, Thomston, Unadilla, Vienna, Warm Springs, West Point and Yatesville.
